  1. Notes on UPGRADING from a previous release of HOWITZER (0.83beta or
  2. earlier):

  4. *    You can safely unpack the new version of Howitzer in your
  5.     old Howitzer directory - nothing important will be overwritten.
  6.  
  7. *    The format of HOWITZER.INI has changed.  It's now much more
  8.     readable, but completely incompatible with older versions.
  9.     You should delete your old HOWITZER.INI before running the
  10.     new version of HOWITZER.
  11.  
  12. *    Registration datafiles from older versions of Howitzer work
  13.     just fine with the new version.  Make sure Howitzer and the
  14.     datafile are in the same directory; this copy of Howitzer
  15.     will then enable all cheat features.
  16.  
  17. *    Read the documentation!  A _LOT_ has changed since 0.84beta.
  18.  
  19. *    0.90beta will NOT expire after a certain date.
